I was traveling down hwy 115 which is going East of hwy 401 going pass Orono, its a two lane hwy going each way. Anyways this truck that was carrying furniture for the Brick, was swerving and speeind doing 120km in a 90 zone at the time. and when the hwy dropped down to a lower level where the top of the pavement was taken off i guess for repairs, i pulled in to the left lane behind him so when he got around this car in the right lane , i thought he'd get over and then id be able to get around him. anyways im behind him for no more than 10 seconds at 2 civic lengths and all of a sudden this gust of wind comes floating down at my front end and ill i hear is ding ding as the stone chips hit my mfront lip , bumper , hood, mirrors, and front fenders, so i follow the guy to Peterborough and he pulls into Brick, and gets out and he asks me if i got stone chips , so like he knew he was at fault, and we had already gotten all the truck info down and plates, so I got his name, and stuff and he saw r notes and said to tell them he was only going 115km instead of 120 or he'll lose his christmas bonus. so I goto the Brick in Peterborough and they say to go to police so I go to OPP and cop says go and get assesment so I went to a body shop and it came to $1183.00 so then I go back to Brick and the manager there was treating me like a little kid saying its no fault insurance and to go talk to insurance company....something I dont want to do obviously !! so I get the head office # of the Brick in Toronto and talk to fleet manager and he says there nothing he can do. Ill have ot go through my insurance.

So most likely ill get the material and paint and just get buddy to touch it up for 150 beans


JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS HAD THIS HAPPENED OR KNOWS AND INFO TO HELP ME OUT!!

it's not like the stone chips are directly the drivers fault that's what happens when you drive close to a truck if you're that afraid of chips stay far away from them... sorry man but i don't think there's good new for you in this situation, stone chips suck but they're a part of life

I think you're going to be eating the bill on this one bro. Trucks throw stones, theres nothing that they can do to prevent that.

Don't bother repairing stone chips. Its just going to happen again. I got an 04, and not even 1 year old, more stone chips than you can imagine.

At first, I went to honda and got a touch up pen. Now I don't bother, cause I get almost a new chip everyday.

BTW, I think its your own fault that you got those stone chips. If you drive that close behind trucks, that's what happens. If I was the truck driver, I'd tell you, you SOL.
