Tail light converion

Hey

I've been thinking about doing a unique exterior modification and i thought a taillight converion would be nice.. now when i look at the back of a 1991 civic i think that the 99 lude lights woud be a close fit and it would loke realy cool,..... is it possible? what is involved? and is it worth it.. i will do it myself but i don't want to get myself into something that is really hard.. to me they look almost identical except for the corners..

I saw that done somewhere... Looked pretty good but i didn't like how the inside angle of the lude lights fit with the hatch.

I know a place where I live that will do the whole conversion for $800-$1000, they do all the wiring and get the taillights, and do any body mods u will need done.

the front must of looked like crap.. but i don't think i'm willing to spend that much on it.. i wanted to do it myself but ifs there so much labour involved and being someone who hasn't don'e much work i guess i'll leave it for now

too bad it wouldn't looked nice

Yeah i've seen that car around Dudebridge. Nice car, and I think Prelude tails are the best conversion for an EF, aside from RSX.

The owner of that car is a custy though. I saw him and all his little Gino freinds cruising around like little fosse's in it.

There is another EF rolling around with integra taillights and it looks really nice aswell. I would take the teg tails over the lude conversion.

k i found this on superhonda.com EF YOU posted this adn did a conversion
"as far as the tails go, its not a simple swap. the height of the lens is the same between the two cars, but the prelude tails are longer and the angle isnt the same on the outside edge. i had to cut the middle piece that used to have the civic logo on it to fit the inner angles, and i had to cut the stock taillight buckets out to fit the deeper prelude tails in. im in the process of welding sheet metal for new buckets as well as to replace the plastic center reflector."

I've seen the front and back prelude conversion done on an EF before, the front look good IMO, but the lude ligths are too big in the back, my buddy has an Integra front conversion on his EF and it looks sick/

so how could you work with it if the side angles are different? my dad knows a bit of body work do you think that the corner fit would be much of a problem?
