Angry Tree Sap!! It's Pissing Me Off!!!

Hey guys, any idea how to remove that shyt? I've tried to clay bar the **** off but then it doesn't come off (I've left it there for sometime now because I've been busy).

I've read that I can use mineral spirits and wipe that crap off, but I'm rather weary of using anything that will kill my paint cuz I'm such a clutz

Is there anyway I could remove this stuff without going as far as mineral spirits or thinner of some sort?

Or should I just bring my car to a cleaning company like Posh and have them get rid of that ****?

Both the BMW and Civic live under a Linden tree. Pollen for a month, pods for a month, sap for two months. Lovely, but completely useless tree!!!

The sap is really gooey, but comes off with regular visits to the coin-op. No special stuff needed, just a visit or four a week...

I've tried blasting it off with the washer at the coin-op but it's stuck damn good. I haven't tried using Simple Green though ...

woohoo! Finally, something that got rid of that crud!

Now, does Simple Green strip my wax off too? Or is it wax safe?

i'd guess it'll strip the wax..it's designed to remove non-hardened substances....

*mental note* I'm never putting wax on with a sponge ever again, I'll just use a cloth and put the wax on, it's must easier to remove!
