If you had a choice between these 2 rims which would you buy? Provided they are in 16" and under

Advan RG's in gold?



or Volk CE28N in bronze?

 

size matters - if 16 and under get the ADVAN, if 17 and over get the VOLK.

yeah, it'll be 16 and under, but why Advan particularly?

I know the Volk CE28N are the lightest (next to the TE37) rim in the Volk lineup

The Advan's are damn light too, but why the choice over the other if it's 16" and under?

 

only for the looks... there is no other logic behind it. Because the Volks have multiple bolt patterns, I think they won't look as nice in the smaller sizes. The Advan, however has a single bolt pattern. Also, it seems that the Advan RG has less of a dish effect to it, thereby looking slighly larger than the actual size when on the car. Deep dish rims seem to lose diameter visually if you understand what I mean. Consider perhaps also the SSR line of wheels. I've always liked the unique look of Type X.

 

I vaguely remember your car, I'd go Advan.

the volks look sort of like the rota's i had on my car (bronze on gunmetal painted car) and they looked hot

 

As much as I love Rota, let's give Volk some credit here Volk will never look like Rota's for that matter

I would go Spoon SW388. I don't care if the style is played/copied out.

But if you would only choose between Advan and Volk, then I say Volk. I prefer function over form.
