where to get your tires put on and balanced

does anyone know a good and cheap place to get your tires installed and balanced??

i was searching the forum, i can't seem to find anything, maybe i'm searching the wrong words...

Anywhere...wheel and tire zone...AGR...pretty much any major servicing center.

I would say wheels direct....haven't had issues with them...but I've heard some that say stay away from there..

canadian tire...
any shop can do it and they all cost the same give or take a few bucks.

best price i've seen is $10 a tire. usually places that do cabbies are the cheapest.

as for GOOD and cheap yeah right

i know costco did it for cheap but thye changed their policy,


as for going to canadian tire, i called them and they want to charge 120$ for all 4

120!!! what kind of weights? the regular ones or the stick weights?

i was at wal-mart its 10.50/tire with regular weights...and 20 bucks with stick !! ouch

and i need the stick weights

That sounds about right...15-20 is the norm. Wheels Direct is good yes. Ask for Ben if you do go. It takes a different method to balance a tire with use of sticky weights. That's the added cost.

or ask Colin to do it ...anyway that place has grown big time over the past 10 years...I remember when they were just a small dinky unit in the same complex.
