Wondering if anyone has a code reader / computer to identify what the engine light im getting is related too.

depending on what car you have, you can check the codes yourself without a reader.

If its a 88-00 civic or integra you can "jump" the service connector under the dash on the passenger side by the ecu and the CEL will flash.

hey , ok i've jumped the wire next to the ecu.

I found the code but am having a difficult time understanding what the sequence means maybe someone could tell me lol! heres how it appears..

half second blink, 5 second pause, 1 second blink, half second pause, 1 second blink.

that cycle kind of repeats itself it seems so the last 1 second blink is followed by another 5 second pause, then a halfsecond blink, 5 second pause, etc.

 

long blinks = 10
short blinks = 1

 

1/2 second pauses are 10's
quick blinks are single digits 1's

and it will repeat itself
