13.5 in the 1/4...

i want to go 13.5 minimum, or lower with a slick with a 92 dx hatch.....two-two, gsr, sir, b-20 v etc??????? whats the cheapest way to do it n/a??? i've seen 22's stock in bubbles with street tires run 13.8-13.9.....this swap seems good to me for the price....

22 would be my choice. Though I am not sure how a K24 stock CRV engine would perform.

Motor alone for a CRV K24 isn't whole lot. Both swap requires non-factory spec mounts and different shifter. K ecu might cost more; both swaps can use factory exhaust manifold to save money right?

Tranny on 22 is crap, and h-b is hella expensive; CRV motor always require different tranny so regardless B20 or K24, type-R version tranny is always a good idea, costly, but will make the engine shine that much more.

OP should do a price check on both swaps. I am comparing the two because they are both over 2 liters, and racing with 87 octane is always nice.

I know this is a old post but.
I went 13.2 1/4 mile D16z6 on spray.

I would recomend a D15bvtec.
A good header, intake and a good exhaust system.
A 7.5 lbs flywheel.
Zex 59-300 cam & adj. gear.
Tune it should push close to 140whp.
Spray a 50 shot N.O.S. Wet... on slicks....
You should go 13.9 or lower.

My exact set-up :

D16z6 200 xxx kms
Dx tranny.
Race headers, aem cold air intake, full custom cat back, test pipe, exedy racing clutch, 7.5 fidanza flywheel, msd 6a, b&m fpr, zex 59-300 cam, crower springs and tit. retainers, megan Adj. gear... fully tunned.
75 shot on 14" slicks best time 13.2 1/4 mile.
Car 1994 Honda Civic Si 2dr coupe.
Later motor snapped a rod @ 222 kms.

Put a fresh jdm D15b vtec, JG Engine dynamics full race p&p and valve train using Zex cam/megan gear,a zc trans best gear ratio d series, lsd, skunk2 pro series manifold bored port matched to tb, to head...

No doubt car would have ran mid 12's on a 75 shot!
