2006 and 2009 SI

Does the 09 SI have the same engine size as the previous years?

By 06 SI, i think you mean SiR, either way they are 2 completely different cars.
Its the same engine as its generation SI but not that of previous generations.

06-09 are the same mechanically. The 09 has a slightly different front end, different wheels and some minor interior changes. The 09 also comes standard with foglights, a USB interface for the stereo and VSC.

If I'm not mistaken the 09 also comes with better traction control.

The 06-08 had no traction or stability control. The 09 comes with VSA (vehicle stability assist), not VSC like I mentioned above. The VSA includes traction control. I have an 07 Si and it has neither.
