b16a starter is sparking

here is the deal guys, i got a jdm b16a in my 93 eg coupe, I noticed that my starter is sparking (at the point where the wire is bolted) so I am assuming my starter is on its way?? because sometimes the car doesn't fire at all until i wiggle the wire around (again the wire from starter to battery). And if its the starter, which starter do i replace it with that will fit. thx

How about tighten the starter wire and it should fix your problem.

If you do need a new starter try getting one a delsol vtec (b16a3), 99/00 SiR Civic, etc.

the man is correct.

as for what replacement, it depends on if it's a mitsuba or nippondenso according to the parts catalogues

either the nut has come loose.. or the terminal wasn't installed properly and is slightly arc-ing to ground.

D/C your battery and find out
