b16a1 swap into a ek hatch

hey guys hows it going... considering buying a 96 civic hatch but it needs an engine... i have a b20vtec i was building to put into my 92 integra.. but might be changing plans...

the motor is a b20 block with an obd1 b16 head and a ys1 cable tranny... i was just wondering is there any way to use the stock engine harness from the integra and swap into the civic... and what problems will i run into??

first, the cable tranny will not work for your 96 civic, it is not worth to buy tranny converion kit for the cable tranny since the b16 tranny isn't cost much money.

2nd, B16 head on B20 block won't make good power since it have less compresion with this combination. GSR head will be a good choice.

for the harness, you better use your stocl civic harness, it will make you more easy to swap the engine, some modification apply to the stock civic engine harness, you have to rewire the MAP sensor, fule injector, alternator, and so on.

and dont forget to add the oil fitting line for the Vtec
