that setup would NOT have either an EGR valve or a Mass Air Flow meter/sensor.

Our cars use MAP sensors.
I would check the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). It could also be the distributor or the fuel pump/injection system, or even possibly a clogged exhaust system.

Is the Check Engine Light on?

check your cat..happened to me...cat gets pluygged then you lose all power basically...if that happens..take out the top o2 sensor and go for a quick rip...if you regain some power..then your cat is clogged

the throttle position sensor is on the throttle body, opposite of where the throttle cable attaches.

with the TPS you want 0.5V when closed and 4.5V when wide open, the voltage should increase smoothly as you open the throttle.
