CEL: P1337: No signal in the Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation (CKF) sensor circuit
Hi All,
So I just got a swap completed. Car is a 1999 civic si, blew the motor and replaced it with a OBD2 96-00 D15B 3 Stage Vtec ( Yes I got douped into buying the 3 stage, I didn't know this was some next vtec system until the shop was puting it in and noticed the 2 solenoids).
Anyways the swap is done, he says the car is running pretty good but he's got a CEL code:
Code is P1337: No signal in the Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation (CKF) sensor circuit
Now could this be a wiring issue stemming from the fact that its possible that the engine is a OBD2A where as the car is a OBD2B?? I'm not sure if thats the case as I only know the engine is anywhere from a 96-00. I just have a feeling its a wiring issue rather than actual sensor.
Your help is appreciated, thank yoU!

Did you plug in the Vehicle Speed Sensor (speedo problem)?
I assume you're using the D16Y8 ECU for now? I can't recall if OBD2 JDM motors have a crank sensor...someone?
If your motor doesn't have one and you're using the D16Y8 ECU, that's likely your problem. Switch to the P28 and OBD1 converion harness and I think it should solve your problem...otherwise there is a wire fix you can do found on ffsquad's website.

Hey man, thanks I think I found it.
.:FFS TechNet : CKF Bypass Trick :.
I believe the JDM motors dont have a CKF: Crank Fluctuation Sensor.... and yes I am using the stock ECU FOR NOW.....
