D-series to B-series swap HELP!!! ASAP!!!
Ok at the moment i got a D15B7 in a 94 Civic Hatch and my friend has a Frankenstein (B20 Bottom with a Gsr Head) he is planning on getting rid of his car due to the body is in pretty bad shape but my shell is in very good condition so i made a proposal why don't we Switch motors and ill pay him extra cash and he can sell his car with my D15B7 in it.
SO what i want to no is What EXACTLY do i have to swap besides just the motor?
Im planning to do the swap my self with some help of some of my mechanic budy's if any one knows of a wright up or could just make me a parts list that be great.THXZ

^That sums it up. Since you're at it...grab the rad and rad hoses too, B series comes with a slightly thicker hose. Make sure you leave the B series Alternator and Starter on the motorset too, since D is different. Good luck with the swap!

yeah take it into a shop...theres so many little problems u can run into during the swap that only someone with experience would be able to solve.
also make ur u change all the seals and gaskets plus the waterpump and timing belt

If i do recall when we did a b18C in a EG with dc sports header we needed to modify the test pipe to fit on to the catback. pretty sure we shortened it. Also had to modify the in side to fit the catback. dont quote me though.

I just recently finished my D to B swap. I did the D16Y7 to 96 JDM ITR swap. Done in a 99 EK Hatch. Lots of work and patience my man. Im not a mechanic im a carpenter. So I used the net to help me out with problems and issues and you'll run into them. Your best bet is to do a lot of reading.
Make sure you have all components.
MY advice when it comes to doing it yourself is know your limit. I did the swap and wiring and the wiring was a bit tricky but there is many resources online for you to complete this swap. But all exhaust work was done at a shop.
