I'm a firm believer that if you are going to start a build, you should invest in a z6 block opposed to the y-series blocks. The y-series blocks flow 11GPM less than the z6. For the money that you invest in an aftermarket oil pump, you could just pick up a z6 block for cheaper (most likely).
