EM2 VTEC Swap?

EM2 VTEC Swap?
Hey
Just a bit curious what is involved and if it is actually possible to swap the VTEC out of an 05 Civic SI (D17A2) to an 01 Civic LX (D17A1). To my understanding it would be a straight head swap, new head gasket and Im guessing the ECU from the 05 Civic?
I know the labor for this is ridiculous and wouldnt even consider this, but im not paying any labor so that being said is it worth it/easily do able?
