Fuel Pressure

Hey guys my buddy has a JDM B18C with an I/H/E, the motor came with a FPR already on it, and he wanted to know what the fuel pressure should be set to. I looked in my haynes manual and it says 38 to 46. Is anywhere in between there fine, or should it be to the lower/higher side? Thanx guys.

36-38 at idle

and it should go up 10psi with the vacuum line off the FPR.

I usually go for about 38-40 psi (at idle with the vacuum line on the FPR) on the cars i tune, if they've got an adjustable FPR.

But increasing the fuel pressure is a crude way of delivering more fuel IMO. And i always tell people to leave the fuel pressure at whatever psi we tuned it at.

Thanks guys. I'll tell him to set it at 38. He just wants it set at the factory spec, he never realy wanted one but it just happened to come with the motor. Cheers
