GSR engine question

Hello, just curious if someone can tell me how I can tell what year a gsr engine is out of. is there a certain tag or diffence from year to year to be able to tell what year the engine is.

which gsr engine are you referring to?

b17 - 90-93 Acura Integra GSR
b18C - 94-01 Acura Integra GSR (94-95 OBD1, 96+ OBD2)

b17a1=92-93 GSR
b18c1=94-01 GSR
b18c=JDM type r.

jdm gsr also has the b18c engine code

there is a stamp on the head on the exhaust side right about the exhaust manifold. Its 2 numbers divided by a | then circled.....so if it was a 1998 it would be 9|8 circled.

remember to check head code (pr3 for jdm itr, p72 for jdm gsr) and difference in intake manifold to distinguish jdm b18c engines

hey, ok i just checked the block and it says b18c. and the head says p72 but when i looked to see what the circled number was it was 9|3 is that possible that its a 1993??? if its a p72 b18c
