Pull out the main relay, bring it inside where its cool. I used to have this problem on hot days it wouldn't start, though never has it died while driving.
Remove the rear seat and the cover for fuel pump. With a multimeter you can check if its getting power. If its not then the problem is before the fuel pump. If it is then its time for a new pump.

The relay is main relay.
Fuse...is not labelled as fuel pump fuse. Its on the same line as something else, cannot remember what though. Check all fuses under the dash.
It was either starter or alternator. My memory sucks, sorry.

^There should be a seperate relay for the fuel pump, no? Should be able to hear it click on and off after a few seconds when you turn the key all the way to the "on" position (but don't start the engine).

the fuel pump relay is the main relay. The main relay clicks and does all that. Unless there is another one that i am not aware of.

I had problems with the fuel pump relay on hot days too. The relay should be under the dash to the right side of your glove box mounted to the body with a 10mm bolt (pull the glove box down and look up) its a big grey relay. When you turn the key to accessory you should hear the relay click and the fuel pump will pressurize for about 5 seconds and then shut off. if it does that its fine. Then check the distributor.

^^ its an EG, main relays are located above the fuse box on the side on driver side. Hard to see if you don't know what you are looking for.

Sorry must be different. In an EK its by itself on the pass side above the ecu. Either way if you hear the relay clicking usualy 3 times and the fuel pump pressurizes the system. the pgmfi relay is not your problem.
