High compression D16a6

Looking into the possibilties of a fully built n/a d16a6, would like to be around 11.5-1 C/R. The head is already ported, and will have a fully built valvetrain, which are the best options for forged pistons and rods, and cam? Need to make power between 4250-8000rpm.

I moved on to working on better cars.

Zeeman moved on to a better career.

Honestly.. the money you're going to spend.. get a b16. You'll make more power for less money.

Atleast that's my opinion.

If you want to build an N/A d16, go to d-series.org. Those guys have done everything.

He's right. Honestly, if you build a D to the nines, and stay N/A, you'll be sorely disappointed with the final results. If you really want 120hp, swap in a z6/y8 or something along those lines. Cheaper, better aftermarket support and room for improvement. Otherwise, boost it or go B series. The cost of building a motor vs just swapping in a B, even if you just go the cheapest route and do a B20, you;ll have way more torque and a bit better HP and money left over to make the car look better too.

Zee's out of the game, too many people ruined it for him. He's the kinda guy who will do everything he can to help out and still people talk sh*t. As a Civic driver, and a skateboarder, I should be used to this but once again too many a$$hats ruined something good for the rest of us.

Its for an asphalt oval car, so boost and a b series are out of the question. I have 1 d16a6 and 2 zc dohc to work with , the reason to go with the d16 is i would weigh 2100lbs, instead of 2400

The ZC is 300lbs heavier then an a6? Kinda doubt that. Maybe I'm just reading the post wrong.

I'm guessing if you can't run a B or boost for your racing class, that the d16z6 is also out? Assuming you can build the crap outta your d16a6, what are the limitations on you for building the motor? Bisimoto build a d16, bigger pistons, changed out the crank from a d17(IIRC) along with changing the rods, basically a stroker motor and made something like 2.1L displacement. You could look into that route.
