injectors

ok, i have a 92 vx,(poop) when i bought the car the guy told me it wouldnt pass e test, i replaced the exhaust mani with a stock si unit (looking for header) a high flow cat, and 2 1/4 inch cat back to a new muffler, replaced and gapped the plugs, and put in a new air filter. now i just read somthing about fuel injectors and feel that either mine are very dirty or n,f,g how would i test, clean or replace them is it hard and how much are new ones? and if i need new ones can i use ones with more flow on my poopy vx and notice any performance gains? oh and i cant squak second gear in my car should it be able to stock?

thanks in advance for your help!

well you can't just throw in bigger injectors and expect it to run good, you need to have your ecu modified to control the larger injectors (i.e. tuning) otherwise it'll just dump in too much fuel and the car will run like poop.
Just get ur injectors sonically cleaned, its about $20-25 an injector, which is much cheaper than buying new ones.

Do a yellow pages search for "fuel injector cleaning". There is a shop on Dundas north of bloor which will clean your injectors for 25 a shot. When I got mine back they looked brand new and the car idled incredible.
