motor mounts

i have a b20vtec engine with upgraded mounts. they are solid mounts that make my whole cabin vibrate. I am going to change them out for stock ones. Will they break really fast in a stock b20vtec? should I put in inserts? This is my first b swap so im not sure how its supposed to feel but I cant stand the vibration.

Stock rubber mounts should be fine, but i would go with a set of poly urethane engine and tranny mounts.

I and most of my friends have used the stock mounts on our turbo'd b-series making 250-300+whp with abuse at the track. The mount intserts make little difference, both on the track or off.

I broke the threads in the tranny where the top tranny mount bolts to at the track, the mounts were fine. But I then switched to aftermarket mounts and boy what a difference (at the track). The wheel hop was cut in half with the aftermarket mounts and that engine stays in place really good. The vibrations inside the car aren't too bad, but it definately rattles some stuff.

You'll be fine with stock mounts.

try backing off all the bolts holing in the engine and tranny. stand on the rad support and grab the intake manifold and pull really hard and try to rock the engine back and forth. tighten them back down and test drive. sounds crazy but I learned this from a guy who works for Honda Cananda

My friends and I....

back to the OP, just go with stock mounts or HASPORT..
either or will work just fine.
