My Alarm system is killing my battery

Hey everyone

My alarm system is absolutely draining my battery, if i dont turn the car on for a day, chances are good the battery is done. Ive checked the battery and it is fine, should i just get rid of it altogether?

Alarm's shouldn't cause a battery drain. Either the unit is defective, or there is another parasitic draw somewhere else on the vehicle.

Talk to the guys at Selective Sound, they are pros with alarms.

^agreed, I doubt that 1 blinking light is your problem. Unless the battery is old and cannot hold sufficient charge anymore, I doubt its from the alarm. Do you have subs? Did you accidently powered the amp with constant power feed line?

Sounds like you need an AVR test done. If that doesn't find anything have the vehicle checked for parasitic draws (something staying on, while the vehicle is parked overnight)
