prolly can't tell until you download and read the bin file. it could be anything really (clearly a b series w/ cams though). how are the jumpers positioned? what engine are you running?

yeah, but you said it's got a chip that has Timmy's CTR cams written on it. meaning the chip was burned for an engine with CTR cams. so unless you magically jammed CTR cams into a D16Z6, the engine that used to be in there was a B series. that's why i asked about the jumper positions.

actually i was referring to jumpers on the printed circuit board. but it makes no diff, i don't really care if there was a B in there before or not. if he wants to find out, i've given him enough info to search the googlez on the internets.

as long as the ecu is chipped it can run pretty much any engine/setup. All you have to do is put the apropriate program on the chip and you're set. I've used chipped p28s to run all sorts of boosted or n/a b-series, d-series, h-series and even the f-series (accord and prelude, not s2000) engines.

All you need to do to find out what program is on the chip is take it to someone with a chip burner, they'll read whats on the chip. I have one and can do this for you, but I'm in Hamilton. T e K n O t I k also can do this is and a lot closer to you.
