Hey guys im new to the whole civic world lol i just bought a 1990 civic hb witha d16a1 dohc motor and all the motor is mint im working on the body now i just wanted to know were the best deals are for parts for this car and what some good setups are anythign would be kewl thanks for your help

Also fiy d16a6 is sohc not dohc.

 

my motor is a d16 dohc i was wrong on the a1 part but it a daily driver but i will take it to the track for test and tunes and the odd cscs days at toronto motorsports park i dont want ot spend to much it has a cold air intake right now the one that runs right under the bumper and a aftermarket ecu but other then that not much else has been done to it

i will post some up now she looks rougher now because the guy i bought it off did a hill billy job and wood screwed the body kit and skirts on so i took them all out and am fiberglassing it all together to make it smooth and look like its all one piece and then doing a black pearl paint jobe with red interior anyone who has got the same year civic doen up post soem pics so i can get some idead and which d16 motor is dohc because i know its a dohc just dont know which d16

 

i was also wondering what header are good i was looking at some skunk2's and then runnign a 3inch exhaust but im new to the tuner world i am more a muscle car guy i have a nova right now with a zz572 chevy crate engine but i love the little modded civics watched one kill a ferrari couple weeks ago and sad i want to do that lol

 

and i stand correct my motor is a dohc motor its the d16a1 which is the 1st gen integra motors similiar to the japan dohc zc engine

 

any d series is sohc

 

Sorry bud I read it wrong. I thought you said d16a6.yeah the d16a1 is the dohc d series.
As far as I remember its the same as the jdm dohc zc.
