unless its b17 intake manifold, you dont have a GSR.

Maybe should be lighter on gas lol. and what kind of driving do you do? Highway or city?

If the car needs to be tuned, that's the problem.

I can cruize all day at 4500+. Been doing so for 265,000kms now.

Your's should be fine. But yeah, get it tuned for better mileage. No point in wasting all that gas.

theres your problem. if you're driving all day at 4k rpm, its causing the engine to consume more gas. keep it around 3k - 3200 and you'll see a difference.

my b16 revving at 4200-4500rpms on the highway used to get 400-450kms to a tank, but thats a b16, not a b20vtec. The b20vtec is obviously going to consume more fuel since its of larger displacement.

I've tuned tonnes of b20vtecs, from bone stock to completely built and even n20 and turbo setups, so I have a lot of experience with these engines.

^ That must be in a hatch with a smaller fuel tank, cause I get 600-650 average per tank in the summer with a b16 at 4500 all day on the highway...

But yeah, bigger engine at higher rpm, gonna burn more fuel for sure.

How "fresh" is the engine? and as long as its broken in and doesnt have a basemap off a non vtec sohc, cruising on the hwy is fine.

Go tune at hi velocity.

nah, a coupe, but thats was only on about 30-35L of fuel. That civic didn't have a gas light, so I was never really sure when to fill it up and too scared to go much past a 1/8 of a tank. I had another one that I would put in 40-45L and it would get me 600kms to a tank.

Well i managed to baby the car and get 400 km out of the tank , i filled up 32 litres..I read a thing once that some gas stations use a lower quality gas and say its premium so i changed gas stations i went from petro canada and shell ...now I use husky lol weird but the car still runs the same ohh and i got 2.5 inch exhaust from cat back so maybe that helped it out a lil....
