question: 99-00 EK intake install
Hey guys,
thought i'd be easy to find but guess not..
is there a diy somewhere on how to install a SIR intake in a 99 EK (SiR)?
i can't find one on the internet and the one i found on TCC the pics were no longer working.
i just need to know where the tubes go!?
Thanks

All you do is remove the stock intake, all the piping from throttle body including airbox, disconnect all hoses. Then install the intake with the silicone coupler. I do not remember if you have a sensor on the stock pipe, if you do, then the new intake pipe will have a place for the sensor. Then just route the vacuum hose from the valve cover into the intake pipe. Install the filter and you are done.
You are basically replacing the stock rubber tube with the metal one and instead of the airbox you have the cone filter. Really that easy.

i;ll try it out this weekend.. i changed my 2008 si when i had it .. so this should be the same.. i just wanted to confirm where the sensor goes etc..
should i expect fluid to come out of the radiator hose and be ready to plug the rubber tube it right away?
