So its time to say bye to D16y7 and hi to B20B

Well i've got a Dseries that smokes like a *****! I'm in need of some advice and help into collecting parts for a swap. Unfortunately i prob. can't swap this on my own and would need to source a shop to do so. But in the mean time, what would i need to get this done? The vehicle it's going into is a 96 civic sedan and is 5spd. I've chosen the B20B as a reliable daily and for tracking [when i get to it] I'm sort of lost and don't know what to start purchasing or buy a full swap... nothing but pure question marks in my head. LOL so any help would greatly be appreciated. So let the reply's begin!

For a shop to build you motor, Check out Zeeman and Chris_V2's shop, very knowledgable guys!

if you search this forum there are many links/topics covering the b20b build.

Mounts, Transmission, OBDI conversion (if you're going OBDI), but the list goes on and on. Maybe someone else will help out, and probably. Until then, search the site.

If ur not building the motor and you plan on doing some trackin then you might wanna reconsider a b18. Check the specs in wiki or w/e and u'll notice some interesting differences.

your going to need bunch of things just to make it fit. You will need to extend abunch of wires in the harness and some plugs need to be changed (IATplug, might have to change alternator plug, knock sensor if 99-00) integra or CRV hoses ( rad hoses, one of your heater hoses, some other ones but i cant remember), b series transmission, if you have a hydraulic clutch you have to bench some of the wire just a little bit those to first on the b series transmission. you need a civic SIR rear mount bracket for the engine. thats all i can think of righ now. give me your e-mail adn ill send you some othr stuff that will help you out big time. and i know all this cause im putting a b20z in my acura 1.6EL. theres a lot more modifications for this product then what i thought before i started. its done now but took about 3 months after doing all the research and everything and parts but i did slack. hope this helps

If I were you i would stay D series.
You can get a d15bvtec for $500-$600.
You wont have to change much.... get a obd1 wiring harness and a chipped p28 / p06 PM zeeman.
In my opinion a D15bvtec will PULL on a b20. Stock vs Stock.
Anyways I would get a good Header for this motor, Pm me if u need one,
I would get an adj.cam gear, a b&m fpr & gauge, a full exhaust system, a new clutch I recomend Competion Clutch, a 8.5lbs flywheel. You will hit 130whp+ and 110wtq+.
Then I would boost it. I have a D15bvtec runing 251whp.... a bit too much IMO unless you do EVERY little thing properly and even then it's walking on thin ICE.
Boost it to 220whp and you will be more then HAPPY.
Pm me if you need nething.

^ Had a d15bvtec....
I've now crossed over to B series on boost.
If you want to enter boost and make good power and stay reliable swap in a b16
