SOHC ZC Motor help/ideas?

i recently bought a 90 CRX and it came with a sohc zc non-vtec. I dont have the budget to buy a b-series motor so i want to do what i can with this motor. i am very new to this sort of thing. What can i do to make this motor comparable to a b series and maximize its potential? Where do i start? would 1800 to 2000 be enough?

Turbo will make you go fast quick.
But if your staying NA. You can build a fast SOHC engine for sure despite what other people tell you.
I have a 94 sohc zc non vtec that runs 13's NA.Pushing 161 whp with 134tq.
I would suggest Bisi for your cam and cam gear and valvetrain. thats a good place to start. Mill the the head 0.40",P29's, a good I/H/E plus a tune. You can make things happen. Compression and beefey cams are your friends!

The valvetrain is a one shot deal; applies to all the cams, there is no choice.

The choice of cam on the other hand makes a difference. If your going for boost, buy the level 1.2 cam which is made for it. Otherwise go for the apporpriate level N/A cam which matches your forthcoming mods.

dont build a d series to N/A its a complete waste of money. If you want to see 160whp go for it if you wanna see beyond, FI is your friend

Actually the valvetrain is all custom matched to the cam. Not like other companys.

Comments like that are stupid.
What times are you running......13's in a NA d is definetly not a waste of time....especially when you can do it way cheaper then a swap!
Anybody can swap....but when you build a bad *** d......thats respect!
