I was thinking about removing the piece of plastic that is in place of where the a/c rad would be. Sorry i do not have pics, but it appears that maybe it would assist with cooling my car down (especially the headers because they are behind the plastic shield thing). If i did take it off would it run my car cooler? and in the winter would it be best to put it back on to keep the engine warm? This car is also stock.
Thanks

i have a EK with that cover (engine all stock) and the car has been through winter and summer and i saw no change in the temp gauge in the car ... if you want the car to run cooler, buy a lower temp thermostat.

Wow......you have headers and your car is stock???

I removed the A/C so at one point, the header is getting full frontal exposure but now blocked since I switched to full size rad. I think it being not there will help cool down the header, but as others have mentioned, particals will also fly into the engine bay more easier.
I see it as a benefit if you race; not necessary for daily driving.

having the a/c condensor there or not does not help cooling at all. cars that are not equiped with a/c have a block off plate there. do you know why honda put it there? not to restrict air flow but to improve cooling. YES IMPROVE COOLING. it forces more air through the rad which improves cooling.
