Leave it stock, save your money and for the time being, research research research!!!

Then when you know what you want and have the money, go for it.

Just be practical. 350whp+ in a little 4 cylinder with fwd is not practical.

 

Alright, I will save money till the summer and see whats up, if I do plan on turbo-ing the stock engine (with the proper parts to the engine of course), do any of you know a trusted place that can do that for me? I dont wanna do it myself and fsu

REAdD my friend. i have been thinking about boosting since the day i joined 2009 and im just around the point where i can try to help someone else out lol.

I also have a d series (y7) i have been looking into it and our engine with a vary good tune and good set up can run max 250hp on around 8-10psi. If you want to go any highier it would require rods and pistons (first thing to go on a d series), after around 250 though you have to worry about how you take off/launch then we start loosig half shafts lol. and your injectors for a 200-300hp build will be around 450-520cc and im pretty sure they will have to be low impedance.

And as far as the h or b arrguement the h is cheaper at an importer usaually? but more expensive and hard to put in but you do get wat about 30 hp and 30lbs? for a little more money. but dont expect to doing any kind of auto cross sure it will handle but not like it origanilly did
