hey everyone. this is my first civic but second car i have done up. i just bought a 99 ek. have done a motor swap to a b18. the tranny is a b16. changed the cams and have a 2 an a half inch exhaust. and a little ram air. has no air. im looking at turboing it (im a big fan of turbos ) but not sure what else to do to the engine before i put a turbo in. or should i just put one in and leave what i have. let me know what you think. there is more done to the car but the engine is what i care about.

 

As long as you didn't put some crazy HC pistons, you will be fine for boost. Get a gt28 or gt30 and run 8-10psi and that will be way more than enough for street. Make sure you get a good tune, you can msg zeeman about that, he will help you out.

 

ya this wouldnt be my first time putting a turbo in i have a shop that can tune it. pricy but worth it. i run about 7pounds. just want to know should i do more to the engine first and what can i do. or turbo now.

 

You can build bottom end. Forged low compression pistons and forged rods. But it all depends on your power goals.
