so your compression ratio is like 10.8:1 stock
I'd get like 9.5:1 or 10:1 pistons just to have safer tune on pump gas
and eagle rods , cause there cheap and good.

or just leave it all stock, get a good free flowing efficient turbo setup, injectors, pump and a tune, +some kind of ecu mod (s300,ectune etc.....)
there have been crazy number on stock block, seen 500+ on honda-tech ( was gsr though, different cams, 10:1, .....)

i cant keep it stock because i did a compression test and my 3rd and 4th cylinder are low so i want a bit of a rebuild before boost

You have few choices:
A - limit yourself and just get new rings and few extra new seals just to make sure everything is sealed up nicely and go boost. 300whp would be pushing it already...

B - low compression pistons, aftermarket rods like i-beam or h-beam (preferably), keep compression around 9:1 and you'll be golden.

How about let's start with how much money you have to spend. Because a simple rebuild may cost you 500-600$ or full out build can cost you 2000$ and more.

Yes I would like to do rods and a little lower compression but not much because I love the way my car screams now
My total budget with the turbo kit and tune is 7000

Are you capable of removing/installing the engine? Doing some assembly on the engine?

Cuz 7000 i doubt will be enough for full blown rebuild and turbo if you are getting everything done at a shop.

7 stacks should be enough maybe a little more. If you can go to the states and pick up a turbo kit from any reputable shop that would be great at around 3500 you'd have a beautiful kit. To rebuild your bottom end with new rods, pistons, bearings (OEM) you plus labour and assembly probably another 2 stacks after if you can install on your own you can save some on labour then you have to factor in fuel pump, injectors, engine management and tune which altogether conservatively is another 1500. That leaves you at 7000 add in a 10% buffer for just in case things go wrong my estimate may be not be accurate.

I have not done any of this but from the research i have put together these are the numbers i have crunched up. I have seen alot of mitsu and subaru guys bash eagle rod where as honda guys praise them i dont know what to believe. As for piston generally cp, wiesco, je are all good forged options.

And you may want to consider dropping the compression to 9:5.1 the added safety and potential for boost outweighs the sound and low end response . Plus if you get a shitty tank of gas or you need to run 91 you'll be much better off. All in all i have no real say take it with a grain of salt, but if i was in your position that would be my thought process
