9) OBD2 D15B motor with Si transmission - $300 FIRM, or $200 for motor only, clutch included
First off, I thoroughly enjoy this motor and am sad to sell it. Details as follows....
- Ticking noise from cylinder 1 and 2 from the head. Requires valve adjustment but it keeps going out of spec. Been told it is a simple fix of changing out the rocker assembly but I have no time to do it. Will supply rocker assembly though.
- Makes consistent 184psi in each cylinder (can provide video) after 6 cranks. Stock is 184psi in new condition as per service manual
- Recommend changing crank seal and cam seal due to slight leak. Will supply these parts.
- Motor pulls very hard for a D series. Most people are surprised that it's just a D and can vouch for it.
- Redline Synthetic oil used
- Average fuel consumption is currently around 6.4-7.0L/100km with mostly highway driving. Works out to about 34-37 miles per gallon.
- Exedy clutch, Y8 intake manifold, short ram intake
- Timing belt, water pump, dizzy cap, rotor, wires all done 30K ago. Spark plugs done 10K ago.
- Does not burn oil!
- Purchased from jdmengineland, and I've put about 25-30K on it, so the engine has about 100-120K
- Currently still in car, won't be coming out for a couple of weeks or more.
