Dude, thats sad stuff that happened to your car...
I donno I myself try to avoid mechanic shops as much as possible. And if there is no other way, I try not to take it to the dealer, since they are ready to rape you if every possible way... Bastards!

Rims are fairly light, compare to their rigid and strong construction. They are sure to survive any size pot-hole you through at them!
