1984 Honda Elite Scooter - Testing Waters
I need to get my car painted ASAP.. So instead of working during the summer to get my car finished I am testing waters on selling this scooter. I would like to get a decent amount of money for this since this very model is hard to get ahold of and sells for alot. The price ranges on the autotrader go from $23,500 down to $1500 being the lowest. If I can get enough for this scooter then I will probably sell it without thinking twice. Just cause I'd rather have my car on the road then keep it. Maybe I can even get enough to get more stuff done to it who knows.. Anywaz like I said the price range goes from $23,000 to $1500. Since this scooter is driven as all it doesn't have very many KM and it also is in very good condition. So I am saying closer to the $23,000 range but no one is going to pay that much for a scooter when you can get a used harley for that money. I am also not going to just sell it for $1500 cause if I do then I mid as well drive it for the summer and then sell it at the end of summer. So I am open to offer. But please keep in mind that the average of all the scooters on autotrade is $5300. So please do not lower ball me with offers of like $1500-2000. I am looking at decent offers. Remember that the higest is $23,000 for this exact same model that I have. The same model, year and cc's.
A scooter would be great right now. If you consider the price of gas is 88cent a litre most of the time. You can fill this scooter for about $3 and run for a long time. Plus insurance is cheap (could be cheaper for some others) I would be paying $1000 a year which is good for a 22 year old without a motorcycle licence yet. So it will be lower for people already with a licence and/or someone who is older then me. So there are lots of advantages for the use of a scooter.
It's 125cc engine. Goes about 100-120km/hr and has very good pickup. The scooter needs a new ignition and turn signal which is being replace before the bike is sold. The parts are acutally on order right now. I can get picture in a week or so when I get my camera back and the bike out and cleaned up. Has a glove box that you can even put a radio in if you wanted. The bike is a 2 seater so you can take a passenger. Electric Start. Can go on the highways which is a good thing cause the smaller scooter can't go on the highways. This scooter is red in colour. I will get some more information on it when I recieve it.
Please do not try to tell me its not worth the money or it's too much for a scooter or whatever other rude comments that people might make over a scooter. Sure you can buy a real bike for $1000-2000 (same year range).. But you will also be paying up the bum for insurance. Also I have done my reserach on this bike before I type all of this up. There is alot of people on the internet looking for this kind of scooter. Also like I said if you don't trust my pricing check out autotrader.ca yourself. You will see what I mean.
If your interested and are serious please email me ONLY @ prostar01@rogers.com . I will not be responding to this board much. So the fastest and best way is by email. Remember I am only testing waters right now. So if I get the right offer then I will sell it. I will post whatever the highest offer so people know where I am sitting at offer wise.
Thanks
Jonathan

Also the only way I am willing to trade this scooter for something is lots of stuff so here is it. It's going to have to be a combination of this stuff or some stuff for money. We can work it out later I will just make a list of stuff I am gonna trade for.
Airbags installed (airbags, remote, custom trunk setup, gauges, etc.)
18" Rims or 19" Rims (Chrome preferred but not the only thing I will consider)
Paint Job and Custom Bodywork (Taillight Swaps/Headlight Swaps - Not A Must)(Must be a good painter - possible engine removal)
Lambo Door Setup
Motor Work (Maybe)
Someone Who Can Finish My Dash Swap
Custom Interior Work
A Big System Setup
I think that pretty much well covers it. Again please do not Mock my sale as I have done my reserach. If you can do any of this stuff I listed then it will not cost you much just supplies and your time basically.

the $23500 scooter on autotrader is a typo idiot
it meant to say $2350
http://search.trader.ca/Results.asp?...egory=-1&CAT=4
the average price of scooters in autotrader is not 5300. the most expensive one after the typo one is $2900, so dont say ppl offering your $1500-2000 are lowballing you

LOL.. Ok First Of All.. Don't Call Me An Idiot Cause How Am I Suppose To Know It's A Type. It still Says $23,000 So I Am Kinda Gonna Assume That's His Asking Price.. So Maybe I Should Say $2000 Is A Low Ball.. But $1000 Is..

if someones asking 15000 for a geo metro would u believe its worth that much? or would u check the blue book for a real value... not hatin'
#9
First of all it's 20 YEARS OLD...Second of all it probably cost no more than $3000 when it was new...Third, and lastly of all, only pizza delivery guys and hippies drive those things. But, nevertheless, a new paint job's a new paint job. Good Luck to Ya.

$1000 for insurance, statefarm offers a set rate for m1,m2,m licence holders and bikes under 600cc for under $100/mnt, if u have a car with them...
#13
Well I don't have car insurance right now.. Maybe I will call them to see what the rates are.. Also you morons are stupid.. Maybe the guy was selling it for $23,000 I know thats a high price. I never said I was asking $23,000 I said I was taking offers. So stop whoring my tread. If your not interested then don't speak.. Why you care I do not know.. So if you dont want it or whatever then don't say ****.. I just said no low ***** offers.. And changed my lower ball range to $1000-$1500.. So whatever.
