F.S. ITR bottom end, GSR Head
Hi everyone, My boy had his motor rebuilt about 4 months ago. The mechanic that did the work on the shop didnt tighten down the headbolt to stock spec. So I am guess because he had a headgasket problem. Anyways, He is selling the whole motor.
Type R bottom end new price $700 block
GSR head complete new price $600 minus the destributor
Or $1200 complete. PM me with contact info if you are serious.

block is not warped.
OK this is what happened. My buddy was out driving his GSR and he isnt mechanically inclined at all, he started to hear a little rapping in the engine bay and after about 10k the rod went threw the block. So he was looking for a new bottom end, I found out that a buddy on mine was selling a bottom end. It was the Type R bottom end.
So he bought this R bottom end and had his GSR head bolted to it, then the bearings went, then the crank because the bearings werent installd right. By the way he has reciptes for all work done to this motor. Anyways, motor ran mint after that he had about 3000 k on the motor when a Escallaid ran him off the road. No damage done to the motor just the side of the car. While he was sitting there waiting for the cops to come take a report. He had the car running. Little did he know he punkshured a little hole in the bottom rad hose.
Cop showed up and took a report the p-o p-o office told him to drive it up the road to crappy tire to leave the car there for the nite.
N e ways to make a long story short, it overheated. Headgasket was shot he had the motor taken out and had a stock GSR put back in. Now I asked him to take it to a machiene shop to c what they had to say. They told him that the motor didnt need to be replaced he could have had the head plained bought a headgasket done a oilchange and could have used the motor again. Anyways So, if you are interested pm me with your # thanks again.

but how can the shop know if there nothing wronge with the motor if they never took it apart after it overheated? what year is the block?so the bock was rebuilt twice already?

the cost of having to get the head resurfaced and straightened out exceeds the cost effectiveness of buying it in the first place.
