Any chance your Nokia car charger can accomodate a 8260?

Mine's been on the fritz lately.

in my experience 90% of nokia's use the same charger adapter hole thingy...it was last used with an 8390

check the VOLTAGE/AMPRAGE, of both the chargers usually nokias are 1.0AMP and 4-6VOLTS, the voltage doesnt matter that much if its off by 1V it just charges quicker...
