I'm selling my 1989 CRX si, rebuilt title. it has no rust on floors or rockers, overall great body condition (has some surface rust on the doors), has a 92 civic front bumper molded to fenders ( can provide the original bumper as well) , power sunroof, 160,000k on the body and less on engine, has all original SI interior, 14" isuzu aluminum rims, skunk coil overs, brand new lower balljoints and newer upper controll arms.

car looked nice, but I wanna understand something. this car was written off and you bought the salvage to it and rebuilt it, is this correct?

just want to have this clarified for potential buyers

"salvage rebuilt" title means that the car was considered a write off by the insurance company.. Sometimes the car might not have much damage but because it's old and book value is probably very low they just choose to write it off.. Basically when it was written off, it was given a title of "SALVAGE" then whoever buys it, can fix it and get a safety check done on it. This check is done BY the government only, not just any mechanic.. if it passes all safety requirements, it's given a rebuilt title and is allowed to be driven on the road again.
