the sim card was activated on a pay-as-you-go account on a new phone just a few weeks ago. the account currently has a $45 balance at a rate of .15 cents per minute(about 300 minutes of airtime) and is valid til May 2005. just plug the sim into your current phone and use as is. the only inconvienience is you can't choose your phone number but what do you expect for $25? the phone number is basically brand new, i have not given the number out to any of my friends yet.

note: the $50 airtime credit that fido gives you on a new pay-as-you-go account can only be aquired if you are activiating from a BRAND NEW phone. you have to give them the serial # of the new phone and they check it out that way. don't be confused by people saying you can get the credit with just a new sim card because that is not true. just call fido customer service and ask them to confirm.

so you are basically getting $45 worth of airtime and a sim card for $25. this is a great deal for anyone that already owns a phone and is planning on switching to pay-as-you-go.
