Thanks guys for the positive comments!
v8hunter - yup it WAS a hatch - nobody believes it :-)
Cue - yes, highest bid by May 1 takes it!
Procivic - DJTre is right, lots of $$
bbarbulo - ok, sorry, asking price $15K obo CDN.
But whatever the auction goes to will take it. The auction is acting as the "obo" of the asking price :-)

just a question....why did you put so much money into a 90 civic?? 26000+ could have easily been invested into a type r, rx-7, even a supra if your lucky...your not gonna get even close to the money you'd get if you were selling a type r (any of the cars listed) right now...sorry, just seriously curious...
and one more thing you say that you are fully covered for the appraised value of the car.....just wondering how much more you are paying for insurance as opposed to having stock 90 civic worth 1500$....
sorry if you think i'm crapping on your thread, i'm just really curious

2 DAYS LEFT IN THE AUCTION!!
Hey Iron,
Yes, I could have bought any of those cars listed above, but so can everyone else (and they have...) :-)
The whole point of a custom car is to be original and different from others, and the Vitesse is just about as different as they come! If you go to shows and intend to win, any of those cars you mentioned will require another $20K invested to compete with others in their class, while the Vitesse is a winner right out of the box...
I obviously didn't intend to sell it when I built it, but circumstances arose and...
My insurance co. has a copy of the appraisal and insures it for the appraised value. It is the same as any other $26K car. It actually does not make much of a difference if it were worth 1500 or 26K since most of the cost of my insurance is not for collision.
