The Boss GT-6 is a guitar multi-effects processor that uses Roland's (BOSS) COSM guitar amp and speaker cabinet modeling. It is a professional unit but is very easy to operate and use. It is a floor unit and is meant to be placed in front of the guitarist.

It comes with Roland's COSM amp modeling algorithms. There are 30 amp models as well as the 15 new distortion and overdrive pedal models. There are 340 effect programs and a customize function that allows you to create new amp, distortion, and wah types using the 15 analog style ***** and buttons.

Boss has also added new effects like the Uni-V and De-Fretter. The inputs and outputs use 24-bit converters while all the processing is done in the digital domain. This is one of the most powerful guitar processors to date. Roland has improved on the Feedback modeling as well. You can create feedback type of sounds. There is also an EZ tone feature that allows you to create sounds and amp models based upon 30 amp/pedal/wah templates. Then you can store them in a preset. Built-in Expression and Control pedals for realtime control of effects

It also has a S/PDIF digital output for connecting directly to a computer or digital recorder that uses S/PDIF.
