i think its the smaller filter that is used on all hondas.

The newer models like the new SiR need the smaller filter.

both filter big and small can be used on all but all new models recommend the new smaller filter

Acutally Honda has elimanted the bigger filter. We only use the smaller filters now. also you are right even my car can take the older bigger filter.

CivicSiR is right......the part number on the new smaller filters is 15400-PLM-A02.....the old ones were 15400-PLC-A01 or something like that......the small filters will fit all cars except old civics (ie 85) and S2000's which have specified filters....but I will let you in on a secret...working for a honda dealer and all....if you want the big ones, and dont mind buying a case of 24 or so, ask your local dealer to order you some in because they are still available....I know this for a fact because I ordered some in about a month ago....
