When did you buy it? How old is it? Do u know what Generarion it is?

 

if i remember correctly, the 30001-r is the version 5 (possibly 4 or 6 aswell), anyways, laser defenitely too old to mod. I sold my version 4 for 70 bucks, so good luck getting 100

to mod, by now its usually the v7 and higher (ie scph-39001), but yours may be okay(the lens that is). The thing is, at pacafic mall, they check the lens by using the game ATV Offroad Fury 3. It's a game that requires a very good lens to pickup right away(since copied games require a good lense to pick them up). Just rent the game, stick it in, and as long as the system doesn't go to the browser screen(the one that shows the picture of the memory card) before the game starts, you'll be okay to mod (the game must start within 10-15 seconds after the system is turned on). One other thing they check for is in the back drive bay cover. Take the cover off, flip the system upside down, and if you see a screw in the drive bay, they can definitely mod the system, it then just depends on if the lens reads THAT(ATV) game --> look at the 2nd diagram for the screw location

 

game works good on the system..so it should be moddable =)
