^ you have clearly never had your car stolen have you?

1. they will not reimburse you $16000 UNLESS you have given the insurance company the apraisal paper which means your paying $5K+ a year in insurance.. insurance will instantly tell you that your motor revokes your whole insurance contract and they will not cover you for 1 penny. believe me i know a insurance adjuster for sun life

2. if you do get the money back it wont be until months later

3. you have to go through the big huge hastle of going through having your car stolen

EXCUSE ME??? of course I care that its my type r stuff you're selling. I didnt get a big settlement from my insurance company, I got less then the car was worth AND my rates skyrocketed after I made the claim...not to mention that the car had more then just monetary value to me, and for what? So some dumb punks like you can make $8000 selling my engine and suspension?

It's quite obvious that this stuff is stolen. If it wasn't you'd be more then happy to post the VIN number on the motor. You make me sick.

Agree 100%
What is the big deal here all you have to do is post the VIN and be done with it. All anyone is trying to do is rid the world of theives. If they can't sell it no point in stealing it.

And the statement about getting money out of the car after it was stolen. That is soooo RUDE some people have alot of money, time and effort into their car and they don't want to see it stolen.

A bill of sale hardly means anything if it is a stolen engine. You have to go through alot of hassle from the seller and cops if you ever got caught with stolen property. So just post the VIN and someone can run Carfax and u can go on with selling your motor.

Post the VIN number. If my crap is stolen there is no point in going through insurance. Talk with your insurance broken/company and find out exactly how screwed you will be after your claim.

I pulled my stereo out of my other car and sold it after having it appraised and find out my premiums would increase $4000 a year and I would be stuck with a $10000 deductable. No bull. I called every single insurance company under the sun and found out the underwriters have set up car insurance such that they are not required to pay a stereo beyond $1500 or 10% of the car value. If you have an appraisal value they only will give most of the money, but your premiums will increase and they may refuse to insure you. Their reasoning is simple. You put even an aftermarket deck in your car you just increased your chances of having the window broken, dash cracked, and having to have your insurance company pay out money. No single insurance company would insure my stereo as it put the car at risk.

Plus your premiums will increase afterwards. You will end up paying for your stereo or mods over the next few years and then some more. The money you save by not going through insurance will add up.

As attractive as the price of stolen parts are, it really sucks when it your parts that are stolen. I will not buy stolen goods, I do not approve of it, and I make a point of speaking out against it. It is the consumers buying stolen goods that cause people to go out and steal. If there were no buyers then there would be no theives and the additional demand for legit product would bring down the prices and increase the resale value of used items making it more attractive to buy good stuff and not worry about losing money when you sell it. I want a type R bottom end and tranny, but not at someone elses loss.
