You can try to go to the dealer and bitch for some warrenty. There was problems with 2001 struts.

well let me tell you the problem with my gf's car. 02 civic 2 door si. found out that the 2 front shocks were leaking so i called HONDA CUSTOMER RELATIONS (416) 284-8110 and filed a complaint! i just said that the car is too new for the shocks to leak! and i kinda compared her 02 civic and my 94 accord and how i was disappointed with her newer car because of things not working the way they should ei. leaking shocks and door actuator need replacing. 5 hours later they called us back and said that they will replace the leaking shocks and the broken actuator. all we have to pay for is the labour which is almost $200. oh just to let you know, the car was over 60k therefore warranty for the shocks and actuators are done. got lucky there....anyways thats my 2 cents..lmk if you have anymore questions about this...

That's what I'm saying. It's a problem they know about, but didn't recall. I'll try to find the TSB for it.

thanks guys .. but the problem is, she bought it from a used car dealership (not a honda dealer)... I dont think that she will still be covered.

Doesn't hurt to try. Just take it in to get checked. When they say the car need new shocks bitch that it's a four year old car and they shouldn't go so fast. I can't get to that TSB right now, but that would help for sure.
