They all cracked so Honda had a recall on it. Call your local Dealership and give them your VIN to see if you apply for a free EM & Cat.
You should qualify as long as the car has a clean title and is originally from Canada.

the idea of an existing recall sounds interesting; I could not find anything about such a recall on the internet though - can you direct me to a web site or other source of info that describes the recall? thanks

...never mind my previous question; called a dealership - they told me I can bring the car in for a free replacement;
thanks a lot for the tip, VinceTEC!

they just called me back from the dealership (Sisley) - apparently my car does not qualify for the "extended warranty" (n.b. it is not a recall, but an extended warranty) because it's older than 8 years...
I guess I'm still looking for a used manifold then...

Ok: called three more dealerships and the replies I got were as follows:
1) warranty expired, VIN does not qualify;
2) bring the car in for an inspection, cannot check by VIN over the phone;
3) VIN appears registered under somebody elses name, in Honda's records (I bought the car used a few years ago); call Honda customer service to transfer registration, then call back; called CS, office closed.
In the meanwhile I found a shop that carries the (used) part I'm looking for and I'm going to go check it out.
