2nd gen ZC in a 4th gen Civic PLEASE HELP!
Has anyone done a ZC 2nd Gen in a EF CIVIC?
I'm having a problem as if i am not getting fuel in the cylinder....I used a ZC GEN 2 distributor...swapped the injector plugs....and also noticed that this intake doesn't have a IAT sensor? does it matter? also using a 89 civic SI computer....PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK....IS IT OBD 1 ?
THANKS

you cannot use the OBD1 distributor with OBD0 computor. the cam angle sensor inside the distributor has a different amount of teath on it for the pick up. Also if you are using the OBD1 injectors then they use straight 12 volt power and do not run a resistor pack, my guess is your resistor pack is still in place, BIG NO-NO!
your options are:
-convert your car to OBD1 (you will need OBD1 ecu, jumper harness or re-wire to OBD1 and a 4 wire O2 sensor)
-OR (much easier) get a OBD0 ZC distributor and OBD0 injectors (you can use your stock ones from the D16A, MPFI ones).
there is no way to make that dizzy work with your ecu, probably feels like the rev limiter is kicking in at about 3000 rpm or so....
anyways, any questions you can PM me.

Don't worry about the sensor that's missing. I zip-tied the "extra" connector from the main wire harness out of the way so it wouldn't rub against anything potentially causing a short when I did my swap. When you get things straightened out it won't affect how the engine runs --assuming you stick with the PM6 (Si) ECU.
If you need an OBD 0 distributor let me know. I know where to get ones specifically for the JDM ZC ('88-'91). Fully warranted for 3 years and comes with a cap and rotor. Pricing is good.
EDIT: There is an intake air temperature sensor on my ZC. It's on the intake manifold right where it is on the SOHC Si manifold. The "extra" connector is for something else located higher up on the SOHC manifold (pictured below). Unfortunately I can't identify it because my service manual is JDM only. Either way, the connector on the main wiring harness will only match up to its appropriate sensors.
Here's a picture from my original (D16A6) engine:
