describe a weird sound? it could be anything, maybe you just didn't torque all the bolts down properly and something's moving around making noise...

either way you need to give more info before anyone can give you some real helpful information

its like some knocking sound

during the installation, i got to replace a new bushing for the rear left cos it seized up but the rear right is fine
and now the knocking sounds seems like coming from the rear right

i installed tokico illuminas with a prokit a few weeks ago and i get creaking sounds on my rear right whenever i go up an incline. sounds like the chassis is taking a beating at times. i'm going to take out the entire strut myself when i have some time and re-torque and inspect everything properly. the installer at altech messed up the first time by not putting in spacers at the lower strut/control arm connection so he could easily mess something else up too.

if anyone decides to take their cars to altech make sure you ask for joe or carlos. the other guy in my opinion is a tad incompetent.

make sure there is spacers between the bottom of the shock and the lower control arm, the shock tends to shift if there is a gap between where the shock mount and the lower control arm.

does kyb make agx's specifically for ek's? if they do then spacers aren't necessary.

tokico illuminas are made to fit 92 to 00s and the rear struts come with spacers for people with ek's because of the thinner lower control arms

It's a known problem.
I have the same on my civic, and 2 other friends have it.
They changed everything and the problem still there.

When I first heard that, I tought I was loosing something. I checked out everything and all is ok.

Very strange. If you find out, tell me.
I have AGX and H&R race on a 1998 sedan.

It's nothing to worry about, but dam it's annoying

i'm curious as to why only the rear right would make sounds and not the other 3 corners. there has to be a logical explanation.

I got AGX and H&R Sport. Same thing happens to me. the rear tight clunks more than the rest. I just turn the radio up and forget about it.

suspensions don't just clunk for no reason... something is fuct. don't just accept it like a mook, take **** apart and start replacing parts. I'd start with the bushing.

Not all of us have the luxury of air tools and nice big SUV jacks. Nor can I afford new bushings for my suspension linkages. I'm planning on looking more deeply into this in the spring. I know thats a long ways away, but my budget is Maxed out right now.

Jack the wheel in question up and try pushing and pulling the spring a bit to see if there is any play. It may not be seated right in the mounts and you can check it for free.

So you would drive a vehicle with an issue that could potentially injure yourself and others..

If you can't afford repairs it shouldn't be driven..

That simple...

who's got air tools and SUV jacks?? not me, I work outside in my back yard baking in the sun, or soaking in the rain using my little box of handtools in this case it takes determination, not money (I mean, you already have the expensive parts like shocks/springs) ... and what's a bushing worth, like $20?

Actually I picked up 2, 4 tonne rollon's and two 4 tonne jackstands all for $15 at a garage sale this weekend..

In the end fellas if you notice something amiss in your rides it is ALWAYS cheaper to fix now than wait for a failure (sometimes catastrophic) to happen.

My 2 rubles..
