I'm thinking about getting a Sir, i love the looks of them i'm just wondering what you guys think of your sir's, what do you like about them, what do you dislike, is it a fun car to drive? How well dees the car respond to mods? I don't know i'm just looking for some first hand info/discussion on the sir

if you actually already own a type S, don't downsize...
consider 1st and foremost what goals you have in mind. if you plan to build a 400 hp drag car, the SIR is a poor choice.... if you plan to build a daily driver, your Type S is a much better choice. So... what is it that you DO wanna build?

Hey Briggzy -- I agree man.
I think the only thing really needed to those Sir(s) is just lower it. Visually, I think it is perfect for a good looking tuner car that will not draw too much attention. For other cars, you need to add a few too many exterior mods to get them looking half decent and then you are approaching the dreaded "ricer" status.
I've thought about getting an Sir and keeping all the "tuning" done under the hood (with the exception of suspension and braking)

I'm hearing horror stories of Type S's and SiR's. How people follow you to your home and jack your car to strip it for parts...specifically the motor. Be careful...I dont know how true it is, maybe you can ask the SiR and Type S owners in the forums(who dont come on the forums and talk **** about cars they have in their dreams)....btw ...
bbarbulo Who would a type S and then says I cant afford it and then buys a SiR? GHETTO RICH LOL

BriJ, some ppl are just doin too much.... they buy more than they can afford, then they gotta bail out on their purchases. It's not about how much money you have, it's about how you spend it.

If you're trying to save money for school, I wouldn't even bother with an SIR. Try to find a very low K 99-00 Si instead. They have the same features and options as the SIR, look almost the same and the SIR's suspension can be swapped onto it for cheap to upgrade your handling.
Yeah the SIR has a B16 and about 30 more hp, but like Bruno mentioned before, you won't really notice the difference around town. The Si is lighter, parts, insurance and gas are cheaper, and theives won't follow you home.
I was going to trade my 98 Si in for a 00 SIR last year, but after driving one, I changed my mind. The small increase in performance wasn't worth spending an additional $5000 over my car. If you planned on modding the SIR alot, it would be a great car, but I wouldn't buy one.

Man everyone who knows someone with a Type R when they first came out has a story....LOL, I remember these guys crawled up my cousins driveway and stole his uncle'sType R.....the next week my cousin was riding his bike in the neighbourhood (427/Eglinton Area), and boom there it was..cops busted them...IDIOTS
I know this chick with a 98 Accord in Brampton...left the car idling in her driveway ran back in because she forgot her makeup bag <self absorbed???> LOL, the frigging car was gone. when she got out.... Got the car back but with bullet holes from a police chase <trigger happy peel police>
