im new to this so, lets say you got a b16 with a manual transmission and your car is an automatic *lets say your engine is a D-something*, *I know your f*cked*




so what do you need to make this thign work? buy an automatic transmission for the engine or can you convert the automatic car into a manual, how hard or how expensive do you think this auto-to-manual conversion?

 

For B16's you have the option to get auto or manual transmissions.

However, if you were to swap I'm assuming you would want to do the tranny conversion.

Actual cost will be dependant on motor generation (1st, 2nd, USDM) and vendor.

whats the estimate cost for an auto-to-manual conversion, including the engine, a B16 2nd gen *I think*

I have a 94 4dr LX that got a manual conversion done.

Nothing major just swapped out a 94 D15B7 for a 99 D16Y8 SOHC VTEC and got the conversion done.

I got it done through Scott in Milton, he did great work.

 

I'm getting an auto to manual conversion done for my 94 sedan. Altech quoted me about $800 for labor and parts.
